Text zur Ausstellung

Characteristics of life on earth transform completely and sense of belonging is damaged or extinct due to the dynamism of people between geography and culture. The yearning for a world without restrictions has become a struggle for survivial in the form of physical and bureaucratic boundries. This “rootlessness” triggers creativity in the mould of resistance and expressive forms. How do distance and coordinates, memory and historical perception, identification and habits, yearnings and hope encapsulate themselves within artistic expression? The exhibition «Restriction of Earth» engages artists who have first hand experienced the socio-dynamic shift.

Text zu meinem Werk

Dieses Werk ist eine erste künstlerische Umsetzung meiner Beschäftigung mit dem Lausanne-Tisch (Tisch, an dem 1923 der Lausanne-Vertrag unterzeichnet wurde). Der Text auf dem Schaufenster der Galerie ist ein Auszug aus meinem Tagebuch. Er sollte an der Schnittstelle von Strasse und Galerie stehen, damit Passant*innen ihn lesen konnten, ohne den Galerieraum zu betreten.
